Aaron Denny is a multi-instrumentalist/ songwriter and music teacher who has been writing, producing and performing music for close to twenty years. In his high school days, he was top in the state on guitar for the New Hampshire Jazz All-State Honors Band four years in a row and toured Europe in 1993 with the Sound Of America. His performing experience is extensive and diverse and includes being in original rock bands since the age of eleven as well as playing with top jazz musicians in the area. He is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Aaron, now age 33, has been performing solo acoustic shows at NH venues such as the Foxfire Grill, LaBec Rouge, The Rockfish, The Pasta Loft, The Barking Dog, The Old Salt, Muddy River Smokehouse, The Blue Mermaid, and River City Billiards. As an entertainer, he consistently wows audiences with the wide range of material that he covers, displaying chameleon like qualities as he shifts from artists as diverse as Neil Diamond and Billy Idol. He has played in venues ranging from small clubs and restaurants to concert theatres in Paris and Germany.
In 1998, Aaron founded Flying Fingers Guitar Studio, a cutting edge guitar school and recording studio now located in Plaistow, NH. At Flying Fingers, Students are taught in private classes in a comfortable environment with the most modern music tools available. Lessons are designed with the student’s goals in mind and cover styles ranging from Jazz to Rock and beyond.
Aaron's debut CD "Freedom Soldier" was released in 2004. A concept album, it tells the story of a young soldier and is sung from his perspective. The music is an eclectic mix of musical styles encompassing heavy rock, punk rock, r 'n' b and hip hop . The Album was fully composed, produced, and performed by Aaron. The songs were written as a dedication to his father, a Vietnam veteran, who passed away in 1990.
Aaron is currently working on his second full length album "Gratitude". Look for his new single "Peaceful World" coming soon. A departure from the heavy rock and pop sound of Freedom Soldier, the new music is a much more organic mix of acoustic instruments, jazz styings, funk and rock songwriting.
